My 3 Amigos - Hair Care

I'm not a hair girl..

I think that fact should be pretty clear by now. I pretty much wash my hair and leave it loose. If I want to get fancy then I will add a twist or two, but that's about it. I have a ton of flair irons, curling irons, and hair accessories that rarely get any love.
Hair products on the other hand..I love!!! I love to see which products will give me the most shine and the least amount of frizz. For right now I have found the perfect products to accomplish this.

Note: My hair is THICK and naturally wavy. I dye my hair every 6-8 weeks, but it does not show any signs of damage.

L'oreal Mythic Oil - Makes my hair shiny and frizz free. Buy here.

Bed Head Foxy Curls Contour Cream - Defines my waves without making them hard. Buy here.

Redken Anti-Snap Leave-In Conditioner - I've been using this since high school and I love it! This makes my hair amazingly soft and really helped my hair when I was constantly dying it in high school. Plus this smells amazing!! Buy here.

After I shower I get two pumps of each product and mix them all together between my hands, then I apply all over my hair starting at the ends first. Simple!! If my hair still looks frizzy after it has dried then I apply Mythic Oil, and if my waves aren't very defined then I scrunch some Foxy Curls Contour Cream into it. Note: This is what works for me. If your hair is thin I do not suggest using this much product!!

I've never been a fan of Maybelline Great Lash Mascara and I honestly never understood the hype. I'm suddenly singing a different tune with this Lots of Lashes!!

I don't think the formula is any different, but the wand it comes with sure is!! I love how this brush is shaped!! It allows you to reach each and every single lash!!

Just one coat!!

Lengthens lashes.

VERY black color.

No clumps.

Able to coat every lash with this applicator.

You can add as many coats as you want without looking like spider lady.

Only con is that this can begin to flake after SEVERAL (7-8) hours of wear, nothing major though!

I have a new appreciation for a classic.

January Favorites 2012

I'm usually not that excited for the month of February to be here, but this year I am!! In just a few weeks the hubby and I will be going to Ireland and I can't wait!!

Since another month has gone by that means it's time for monthly favorites. I don't have a lot of products on my list this month, but I am in love with the few that I have.

Philosophy Turbo Booster C Powder

You add a scoopful of this powder to your regular day time lotion and it helps lighten scarring and even your skin tone. The best part? This actually works!! I started seeing results just 2 weeks after using this.

Mythic Oil

I bought this to replace the Cibu Ancient Serum I just ran out of and I'm so glad I did!! I must begin by saying that this product smells amazing, if any of you are familiar with Biolage it smells like that. This oil is great for adding shine, taking away frizz, and hydrating your hair without weighing it down. The only downside is that this isn't sold in the US so you have to buy this online, I bought mine off of Amazon.

A few weeks ago I was on the hunt for a new makeup remover. For some reason most of the regular face wipes I use were irritating my skin and regular soap and water don't do a very good job of removing my makeup. Enter Sephora Cleansing Water..

On my hand I have 3 of my toughest products to remove - Milani Liquif'eye eyeliner, CoverGirl Lip Liner in Passion, & Tarte EmphasEYES Clay Shadow Stick in Bronze.

I swiped (one time) just the bottom of the swatches.

All gone!!

Overall I am loving this makeup remover!

It's gentle, doesn't have any scent, and removes all of my makeup with minimal effort.

Here are my thoughts on the new Physicians Formula Products that I've purchased recently.

Hit #1.

Bronze Booster Glow Boosting Season to Season Bronzer in Medium to Dark

I know several people thought that this would be a miss, but honestly I love being able to pick my color based on the season or my mood. The colors are all very pretty and just the slightest hint of shimmer (which may annoy some).

I know these colors don't look too pretty here, but it's beautiful on your skin.

PH Matchmaker PH Powered Blush in Rose

Note: the shimmer that appears in this picture does not appear on your cheeks, see picture below.

This comes with a mirror that lights up so you call apply your blush anywhere at any time of day.

This blush is supposed to adjust to your skin and I will say that I really do think that it does that. This color first appears to be a very light pink when I first apply, but within a few seconds the color deepens and I get this beautiful flushed color. I tried my best to capture the change, but it just happened so quickly!

PH Matchmaker PH Powered Lip Gloss in Pink

I LOVE this lip gloss, this is my favorite purchase of the bunch! The gloss stays on for about 2 hours and it's not too sticky, but the best part is that it leaves your lips with a beautiful pink stain even after the lip gloss fades.

It even comes with a mirror and a light! Love it!! I actually find both features VERY convenient.

Swatch on my lips. Such a pretty color!! This product also adjusts to your skin, but the change just happened too quickly for me to capture.

The MISS!!

Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Lipstick

I will admit it, I'm a sucker for cute packaging!! Sadly this product is no bueno!!!

The heart has you fooled into thinking you will LOVE this product, but once you apply this to your lips it makes your lips look like a chalky mess!! The swatch just looks so pretty on my hand, too bad it doesn't appear this way on your lips. I'm so disappointed in this product.

I was so excited when I found out that there was finally going to be a BB cream available in drugstores. Finally no more ordering online!!

My hand does look quite glowy after I rubbed this in.

So how well will this work on my face?

Bare clean face, please note that I am having a GREAT skin day here.

My face looks more even, but WAY too shiny!!

I set it with some powder and this really helps!!

Pros

You can buy this at your local drugstore.
Provides nice, natural coverage.
This is a great product for those with very dry skin, this is super moisturizing.
I didn't break out while using this.

Cons

Pricey for a drugstore product, I paid around $13.00 for this.
This only comes in 2 colors - light/medium & medium/deep.
The product can feel very heavy on your skin. I had to blot and powder several times a day when I used this.
The squeeze tube applicator can get VERY messy.
If you are looking to conceal major skin problems, this is not the product for you.

Overall
I wouldn't recommend this product to many people, only those with very dry skin. This product just doesn't impress me, it reminds me of a heavy tinted moisturizer. I will continue to order my Missha BB cream online.

The inside of the bag is also lined with zebra print (and several pockets), the lining is very easy to wipe down in case you have any spills.

This bag also includes a strap that allows you to wear the purse on your shoulder.

The strap clips on and off very easily.

Real Techniques Brushes "Pixiwoo"

A few weeks ago I decided to expand my brush collection with a few of the new Real Techniques brushes. The Real technique brushes were designed by Sam of Pixiwoo.

I bought the travel essentials set. The set comes with three full sized brushes (foundation brush, blush brush, & eyeshadow brush) and a travel case that stands up.

essential foundation brush: Build flawless custom coverage with liquid foundation or concealer

This brush is very dense and tapered so you can work around the curves of you face.

I like this brush for applying foundation, I feel like it blends everything nicely. In all honesty though I still reach for my Sigma Kabuki brush to apply foundation, I just like the results I get from it better.

multi-task brush: for effortless application of powder, blush, and bronzer

My favorite brush of the bunch!! This brush is soft and applies blush beautifully and evenly.

domed shadow brush: tapered design smoothly shades and defines eyes

This is a great brush for packing on color, but I feel like for applying color to your crease this brush is just too dense. I find that I apply more eyeshadow than I need if I use this for the crease.

panoramic brush case is a 2-in-1 case + stand

I am a fan of this case, the material is easy to clean and all of the brushes fit nicely when the case is closed.

Overall this is a good travel brush kit, the quality is AMAZING and you would never know it's 'drugstore' brand. I would recommend this to someone who is new to makeup, especially since the quality of the brushes and price ($18 approx) is great. I personally don't feel like this is something I need, but I think it all comes down to preferences. I like to apply my foundation with a kabuki brush and my eyeshadow with a less dense brush.

I hope to find the Core Collection in my area soon, the kabuki style brushes seem more my style.

Note: I'm hearing a lot of buzz that you can no longer buy this, but I saw this at 3 different Sephoras within the past week.

Cherry Culture Haul -- Milani + NYX

A few weeks ago I bought a few things from Cherry Culture when they were having a sale. I know most of you appreciate a good haul so I thought I would share this with you.

Milani Bare Nail Polish in Teddy Bear & Bare in Mine. I love the Milani polishes from this collection, they are the perfect neutral shades.

NYX Matte Lipsticks in Natural & Sweet Pink. I love these!!

Before I begin my rambling about how much I love this, let me show you some pictures.

Before

Unwashed hair, it's been about 2 days since I washed my hair here.

During

With the dry shampoo in my hair.

After

I shook the dry shampoo out. My hair looks freshly washed & has a lot more volume. Did you notice my hair looks lighter?? That's because when my hair gets oily it looks a lot darker, the lighter hair color is not a result of NOT properly brushing out the dry shampoo.

Pros

Affordable - $3.49 at most drugstores.
Easy to find. This will be readily available at most drugstores by the end of January.
Pleasant smell. This smells like a light hairspray.
Absorbs the oil in your hair.
Adds volume & texture.
Easy to brush out., most of the time I just use my fingers to rub this in.
Finer mist than any other dry shampoo, which allows you to aim the spray where you want it.
Leaves my hair looking shiny, I've never had a dry shampoo do that before.

Cons

None!

Overall

I really am loving this dry shampoo. My favorite part is that it's easy to brush out, most dry shampoos take several minutes to fully be brushed out of my hair. If you're looking for a new dry shampoo or have never found a dry shampoo that you've liked then I really suggest trying this one!

FTC - I was sent this product by Suave to review, but that does not change my opinion. I think this is an amazing product and I will happily spend my own money to buy a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th bottle.

L'oreal Infallible Cream Shadow

Last week I couldn't stop ranting about the Maybelline Color Tattoos, but that left another drugstore competitor feeling jealous...L'oreal!! So today it's all about the L'oreal Infallible Cream Eyeshadows. I currently have two in my collection, perpetual purple & midnight blue.

I love that the bottom of the packaging allows you to see the true color of the product.

Perpetual Purple & Midnight Blue

I LOVE that these cream eye shadows come with an extra layer - the grey circles - of protection. Note: Didn't that last line sound like a line for a panty liner commercial?? haha!!

The extra layer is meant to keep the moisture in, therefore keeping the product soft (useable) for longer.

Perpetual Purple

Midnight Blue

Pros

LONG lasting. I wore this for 12+ hours and the color looks exactly the same after 12 hours of wear.
Zero creasing.
This comes right off with a makeup wipe.
You have about two minutes before this product sets, so you have time to blend this out a bit if the color is too bright.
Very pigmented!
Affordable! These are similar to MAC paint pots at about half the price. I found these for $9 in my area.
They do not dry your lids out at all and they do not crease.
I love the metallic/sheen shimmer, this is hard to find in a cream shadow.

Cons

This product may be too creamy (not wet) for some. Be careful when applying because it is easy to grab too much product since it is so soft.

Overall

Well yesterday as I was taking my weekly stroll through CVS I realized that I had $10 in Extra Care Bucks and 20% off all non sale items so I decided to add two more Maybelline Color Tattoos to my collection. Opps!! Next YEAR I will cut back on buying makeup...maybe!

The two colors I bought are Bold Gold & Pomegranate Punk.

I could stare at these pots for ~~hours~~ minutes...so pretty!!

I REALLY recommend the Bold Gold color since it's such a neutral color. I sleepily applied these both this am and it actually looks like I made an effort..hehe!!

Maybelline Tattoo Shadow Review

Happy Tuesday!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, I know I did!

So the new fad at the drugstores for cosmetics is long wear cream eyeshadows & Maybelline is no exception. Maybelline recently came out with a cream shadow that is called color tattoo and it's supposed to last 24 hours. I honestly don't want to have any makeup last that long because that means it will be VERY difficult to get off, but I decided to try these anyway...being a makeup addict is a tough job! haha!

Tenacious Teal

This is the color pay off with a VERY light touch.

Pros

LONG lasting. I wore this for 12+ hours and the color looks exactly the same after 12 hours of wear.
Zero creasing.
This comes right off with a makeup wipe.
You have about a minute before this product sets, so you have time to blend this out a bit if the color is too bright.
Very pigmented!
Affordable! These are similar to MAC paint pots at about half the price. I found these for $7 in my area.
They do not dry your lids out at all and they do not crease.
The color variety has something for everyone.

Cons

I think the product will dry up before you get a chance to use this all, but at $7 each does it really hurt to go out and buy another?

Go to your drugstore and pick some up now!!

I bought this having really high hopes. I love the idea of dry shampoos, but they tend not to live up to the hype. Note: My two favorite dry shampoos are Suave & Cibu.

My usual problems with dry shampoo are: I hate the smell & it's hard to brush out. I didn't have any issues with the scent of this product, it really didn't smell like anything to me. I did find this impossible to brush out though!! Since my hair is so dark this dry shampoo leaves it a lovely shade of grey, not a look I'm going for! On top of it all I really didn't notice much of a difference in how my hair looked, it still looked and felt like it needed a wash. I do NOT recommend this dry shampoo. I usually try to find something to like about a product, but this sadly did nothing for me.

The other day I was taking a stroll through my local Harmons (beauty drugstore) & picked up some goodies, only to realize when I got home that all of the items were L'oreal products. Odd..

What I picked up: Balm in Caramel Comfort, Healthy Look Hair Color, MagicLumi Concealer in Medium.

Somehow the hair dye made it to my closet, but not onto my hair yet.

This new concealer with illuminating particles just doesn't work for me. I love that it's in a pen form and the packaging is SO pretty, those are the only pros to this product.

Oh where or where are the illuminating particles?!? I found this concealer to be a bit thin and the color just wasn't right. I recommend this product for those that don't have much to conceal, everyone else just stay away! I disliked this so much that I returned it.

Balm w/ SPF 15 in Caramel Comfort. I thought this would be a similar product to the Revlon lip butters, but I was wrong. These balms are actually BALMS, they aren't very pigmented but they do hydrate your lips. Don't tell anyone, but I like these better than the Revlon lip butters. *hides*

I must say the packaging is quite chic.

Look at what a pretty tint this leaves behind! If you're looking for a new tinted lip balm I would recommend this one!

Urban Decay did it again!! There is now a Naked 2 eyeshadow palette. I know many people feel that this palette is way too similar to the original Naked palette, but I disagree!! Fellow neutral color lovers will see and appreciate the different colors in this palette

I Am Thankful!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

As we all know today (although it shouldn't only be one day) is the day to be thankful for everyone & everything in your life. Several years ago I made a list on Myspace (yes you KNOW that was a while ago) about all of the people I am thankful for & I decided to create an updated version. Some of the people's names may remain anonymous just because I like the mystery. ;)

I am thankful for..

My mother. I can call her 20 times a day & she is always willing to listen to me vent & always offers me amazing advice.
My grandfather. For teaching me that being yourself is the best thing that a person can do.
My sister. It doesn't matter how many days/weeks we spend apart when we talk things always just click.
My husband. He really is THE best, you are my best friend & every day I find something new to love about you.
My nieces & nephew. These 3 never fail to make me laugh & they fill my heart with so much love.
My aunts, uncles, & cousins. They are always there for me & they constantly show me what it means to be a giving person.
My OTHER mom & dad. They've always treated me like a part of their family even before my hubby & I got married & I truly appreciate that.
My brothers in law/sister in law. They're not only family, but amazing friends.
The horsemen. All 3 of you have helped shaped who I am as a person & I am so thankful/honored to call you my friends, even though we all know you are my family too.
Carlos. Yup, the ONLY person who actually gets his name here. I love you & am so thankful to have someone in my life that understands/loves me the way that you do.
The "group". I am thankful that you treat me like one of the guys.
Bloggers. I am so happy to have gotten to know so many of you, you truly are beautiful people inside & out.

Old Navy Haul

This weekend Old Navy was having some AMAZING sales. On Saturday ALL Adult coats were 75% off & Sunday all adult sweaters were 75% off. I picked up some things from BOTH sales. Now I tried taking pictures last night of what I bought, but my tired face just brought down the whole mood of the pictures. Instead I borrowed the images from the Old Navy site, I hope that's ok with you!

Let's begin with the coats..

Meet my new work/fancy coat.The pattern is so pretty in person, it's black and white checkers.

My new every day coat, I love the red toggle buttons!

Note: I do own one red winter coat, so I promise to add it into the rotation with this grey coats. I won't be gloomy EVERY day..hehe

On to the sweaters....

I can never have enough cardigans!! I bought this cardigan in red and yellow.

I bought this sweater in beige and pink, it reminds me of a candy cane.

Some of the sweaters I bought I wasn't able to find on the website.

I also picked up these boots, I think they will be perfect for frolicking in the snow. Although I don't usually frolic, but they will be good for walking to the car..lol

In total I bought 2 coats, 6 sweaters, and 1 pair of boots - Total cost $130!!

OPI - The Muppets Nail Polish Collection + Swatches

I don't know about you, but I LOVE The Muppets!! Every time I think of The Muppets the song below ALWAYS pops into my head. So darn catchy!!

Note: For those that don't want to read this post, there's a video below with swatches.

When I found out that OPI was coming out with a collection for The Muppets movie I had to go check it out & pick up a few goodies!

The Miss Piggy collection - Simply Moi!

The Muppets collection - filled with LOTS of glitter!

Here's what I picked up from the collection: The Mini Nail Laquers, Divine Swine, & Rainbow Connection.

A closer look at the minis: (left to right) Wocka Wocka, Excuse Moi, Designer be Better, and Warm & Fozzy.

Rainbow Connection - This is supposed to be a dupe for the Deborah Lipman Birthday nail polish.

Divine Swine - This color looks like perfection in the bottle.

Swatches - All of the swatches are with two coats of polish.

Rainbow Connection - I need about 8 coats of nail polish to get this to look as good as it does in the bottle, still pretty though!

Divine Swine - I think this would look better with 3 coats of polish. A great color!

Excuse Moi - I think I will use this color more in the Spring, great color payoff.

Wocka Wocka - ehh this isn't anything special to me.

Designer Be Better - Honestly this color is GORGEOUS in person, it has these amazing copper flecks in it that just makes this an amazing color. I think I will be buying a full sized bottle of this.

Warm & Fozzy - A great fall color!

Revlon Lip Butters, these 3 words bring up a lot thoughts for those of us in the beauty community. For some they are already in love with them, for others they don't understand the hype, and for the rest they're aggravated that they can't seem to find them. I'm here to tell you what I think of these!

I returned the other lip butter from this post here, it was just too frosty for me.

Berry Smoothie & Red Velvet

Pros

Pigmented.
A wide range of colors to choose from.
Gives your lips a nice, slightly glossy look.
Price range from $6-$9.

Cons

Hard to find!! I've heard of so many people saying they just can't find these.
While this is labeled as a lip butter, this is really just a moisturizing lipstick. This may not be a con to some, but for those that aren't fans of lipstick than it is.
Last about the same time a lipgloss would, 2-3 hours.

Overall
I really like these lip butters, but I think that's because I'm a fan of lipsticks. If you don't like wearing lipstick than there is a good chance that you won't like these. Note: the colors with the shimmer do tend to leave your lips looking a bit frosty and these colors aren't as hydrating as the others.

Ok, so I kind of cheated with this product. I couldn't wait for my sample to arrive so I picked up a sample at Sephora, they gave me a VERY generous sample btw!! So far I really LOVE this product. I apply a very SMALL amount to the parts of my face (cheeks) that have acne scars at night. I find that if I use a lot or if I use this twice a day my face does become irritated. I've only been using this for 2 weeks, but I've already seen a significant difference in the fading of my acne scars. I can see why so many people have said that they've stopped wearing foundation after using this!

Pulpe Vitaminée Eye and Lip Cream

I'm still undecided on this product. It's a very light eye cream that does a good job moisturizing my eye area, but it's too soon to see any results.

Vinosource Quenching Sorbet-Crème

With the cooler weather we are having here this creme feels amazing on my face! It's moisturizing without leaving my face greasy. This is so light it feels like I have nothing on. So far I'm really liking this.

I had to take this picture from the Caudalie website, I couldn't get this moisturizer to photograph properly.

Please note: These are only my first impressions on these products. I have only been using them for a week!

Nuance by Salma Hayek - Renewed Radiance Night Cream

I'm loving this night cream. I use it every night and it feels so soothing, especially since the weather has gotten so much cooler here.

Blistex Lip Medex

Nothing beats this for me!! I love this product for the cooler months because it keeps my lips moisturized for a long time. I know the smell may deter some, but I love it!

Caudalie Vinoperfect

This is an amazing product for acne scars. I mean AMAZING!! I will go into more detail later this week.

Sephora Professionals Concealer Brush #57

This blends your concealer into your skin beautifully!! I use this with my Bobbi Brown concealer and it looks so natural, like I never even had dark under eye circles.

CoverGirl Sophisticated Sable Blush

CoverGirl has always had a special place in my heart because it was one of the first makeup brands I ever really tried. This blush is one of my FAVORITES, it gives you a nice natural flush with a pretty glow. I do think it's time for CoverGirl to upgrade the scent though, it smells very noxema-like to me.

Tarte EmphasEYES Clay Shadow Stick in Bronze

This has been my go to eye shadow all month! It's the perfect bronze color for these fall months. For night time I add some black liner on both my top and bottom lid and for day I just add a little mascara and I'm ready to go. This eyeshadow does not BUDGE! You need to use a good makeup remover to get this off, because it's not going anyway with a cheapie remover.

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Macara in Very Black

Yes, this made it onto my favorites list again!! I really do love this mascara and I find myself always reaching for it. It allows me to achieve a natural or a bold look with just a few swipes and it never clumps.

Failed Halloween Masks

Sephora F&F Sale Haul

Happy Friday!! Here are the goodies that I bought from the Sephora Friends and Family Sale. I was very modest with this haul and only picked up the things I really wanted.

Let's begin with the samples I received.

Peace, Love, & Juicy Perfume Sample - I did not like this!!! I thought since I liked Viva La Juicy perfume that this would be a hit, but it's not. The video below reflects my react to it oh so well..lol

Bliss Triple Oxygen+C Energizing Cream - I love Bliss products so I had to give this a try.

Someday by Justin Bieber Perfume Sample - Please don't mock me for this! This perfume has been in a lot of my magazines and it smells surprisingly good!

Here are the goodies that I actually hauled.

Sephora Professionals Concealer Brush

This is amazing for blending concealer and making it look natural. This works really well for super thick concealers (like Bobbi Brown) and allowing you to apply them without any creasing.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in #18

I've been dying to try these for a while now, but I didn't want to go crazy buying a ton so I bought ONE color that I know I would wear all the time. #18 is a pretty violet color that allows you to build the color & it lasts for most of the day.

Clinique All About Eyes

I bought this because I have a serious issue with undereye puffiness. My allergies really don't help and I always look a bit puffy, so I hope this product eliminates the puffiness as it's promised. So far I have noticed a reduction in puffiness, but nothing too dramatic...yet!

New Hair!! Kinda...

So lately I've been itching to make a change to my hair. I KNOW it has something to do with Yasumi chopping her hair off and looking stunning. I want that haircut!! For now it's going to wait though because I want to grow my hair out to donate it to charity again.

This is How Scary Movies Start

In case you didn't know, Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday. You get to dress up and fill your belly with all types of candy - what's not to like?!? To get us in the Halloween spirit the hubby & I decided to go to a corn maze, a first for both of us. We drove an hour to get there and as soon as we arrived at the town, I had a major creepy feeling!! The day was overcast and chilly and it just added to the Halloween mood.

This is the first house we saw when we arrived at the farm.

Looks like it belongs on the set of a scary movie, right?

Since it was a farm, they did have all types of animals.

Meet BABE!!!! Lalalalala!! He was super stinky, but I still feel in love. <3

This little guy LOVED having his picture taken..what a cutie!!

Ok, enough making friends...we're here for the corn maze!!

According to the website, if you get lost you would end up walking over 3 miles!!!

They gave us a VERY complicated map.

The only thing it was actually useful as was to be raised as a flag if you got lost.

This is what we're dealing with people!!

The corn stalks were over 8 feet tall.

Hubby let me lead the way. err..dunno if that was a good idea!..

We found the middle point after 15 minutes of walking and decided to snap a picture.

The further we got into the maze the more complicated it got.

Certain rows were dead ends and you found yourself walking in circles.

Here I am with our map -"lost".

We were in there for a while and the hubby got hungry.

Corn anyone?

We managed to get out of the maze in about 30 minutes, not bad for newbies!!

We were greeted by another horror movie house when we got out of the maze.

This farm also had pumpkin picking so after our corn maze adventure we decided to take one of these little guys home with us.

The hubby took some 'oh so flattering' pictures of me while we carved our pumpkin, but since this is a 'beauty' blog I decided to spare you guys the horror..lol

This is the first pumpkin I ever carved & of course I had to carve an owl.

And since someone was acting like a MAJOR jelly belly while we carved the pumpkin we took some pictures of Dom. Dom says hi & meow!!!

On this cloudy and chilly day I want to take a little walking adventure with you! The hubby and I decided to take a nice romantic walk in Central Park on our anniversary (he had never been!!). I was dying to see the turtle pond (my favorite!!) and the castle.

This is one of the first things we saw when we walked into the park. Isn't it romantic?? It might have been more romantic if the water wasn't green, but we will just ignore that!! haha!

I decided before we REALLY started walking that we should take a quick picture to display our outfits..finally!! I was dressed for comfort!

You almost forget that you're in the city until you look up and see the buildings.

We thought this little guy was lost, but his momma was just taking him on a little walk.

This may be my favorite picture of them all. I find it to be so inspiring, it makes you really want to know what's at the top.

This is what was at the top of those stairs. This beautiful castle! We didn't get a chance to go inside, but the view from the outside was amazing.

The castle overlooked my favorite part of the park. The turtle pond!! Look at those cuties!!

I have heard so many great things about this product line and the chance to try so many products for only $38 (+20% off from the F&F sale) sounds like a great deal to me!

I'm positive that I don't NEED this foundation, but I love the Bobbi Brown line and would love to finally try

a foundation from this line.

I'm not crazy about how the lip color I paired with this looks on camera, but it's too late now. ;)

Pros

-Affordable

-Easy to find (drugstores).

-The wand makes it easy to coat every lash.

-The wand makes it easy to remove any clumps.

-Makes my lashes VERY long.

-Does not smudge or flake.

Cons

-After one coat this formula does begin to clump on your lashes, the wand allows you to separate them though.

-You need some extra time and patience to get a volumized look since this clumps after one coat.

Overall I really like this mascara for daily wear, I apply one coat and I'm out the door! While this DOES provide a volumized look, it takes some time and effort to achieve it. I recommend this mascara for those that like to apply one coat of mascara for a simple defined look, for those that like drama you may want to skip this mascara.
